The information indicated they go to hunger strike after the invitation of PKK and Part Free Life of Kurdistan due to brutal practices which imposed on the jails under the pretext of preventing COVID-19, so they went to hunger strike after intensifying the escalations against them, as well as an intensive isolation imposed on Kurdish People 's Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

On November 27, political detainees go to hunger strike, it is supposed to be continued for 5 days for each rotation per shift, in several detention centers with the participation of many detainees, and then the second group will over the strike shift on December 2.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with the co-chair of Human Rights Organization (ÎHD), Arn Kaskin, who talked about the activity of hunger strike in the Turkish jails, denouncing of the violations were exposed to.

She said that" the atrocities have intensively escalated in the jails, saying" Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, in the jails at least 1,600 infected detainees, whose situation are critical, and under the pretext of the preventive measures, the infections with COVID-19 are not granted medical reports, but rather they are given a report stating that they “have to stay in prison,” and by doing that, they give legal status to these patients remaining in prison.

And she noted" the detainees in the jails reached to deplorable situation after the isolation imposed on them, where the government violated even Turkish local laws, and added "In the current situation, especially for political prisoners, they are run by one center, and no one knows who runs He controls this center, and who controls it, because the centers that must deal and communicate with according to laws and regulations do not communicate with us.

Therefore, there is a big problem at present, and the most important of all is the imposed isolation, and the most important is the isolation imposed on Imrali prison, which violates all laws.

In Imrali gangs' methods are being practiced.

Lawyer Arn Keskin said that the Turkish state and some other parties are following the gangs' methods in Imrali prison, adding, "Since the first day of Mr. Ocalan was brought to Turkey, I was his attorney, and since that time until now nothing has changed, and isolation has continued since that period.

Sometimes the isolation is tightened, and other times it is reduced, but stripping has become a permanent pattern of torture, and these practices cannot be explained, neither by the Turkish local laws nor by the agreements signed by the Turkish state, what is being practiced is gangs' methods, there is hidden hands on it, no one worked to disclose it.

In the other prisons, isolation is also being imposed, and these measures have escalated due to the corona pandemic, as detainees are prevented from meeting with their lawyers and families, and for women, surveillance cameras are installed, and this is considered a type of harassment, and in all prisons, cameras have been installed in all places including There are very private places, and despite the spread of the virus, there are no doctors in prisons, and prisoners face the risk of death, and these repressive practices have reached high levels, so the detainees decided to announce a hunger strike.

Regarding the status of leader Abdullah Ocalan, lawyer Arn Kaskin said: “Every detainee is a human being and has the right to human life and it is a sacred right. There have been some amendments in the laws regarding human rights. Mr. Abdullah Ocalan has a family as well, so how is his right to be violated The meeting with his family, he also has lawyers, and these lawyers need information regarding the lawsuit, and to be aware of all developments.

The meetings between detained lawyers and clients are very important. As for arresting a person and placing him in prison, and then severing his ties with the outside, this will lead to a shock. The punishment here does not affect the detainee only, but the family as well. And all these practices are violating the laws and international agreements, it is a contra method.

The viewpoint of AKP and CHP is one view towards the Kurdish issue.

And Arn Kaskin noted that no one is raising their voice against the escalation, apart from human rights institutions and some politicians, and she said in this regard: “I say that there is no opposition, because, unfortunately, there is no difference between the Justice and Development Party and the Republican People's Party regarding with their view of the Kurdish issue, and there is no difference in this area between the National People's Party and the Good Party, as everyone looks at the Kurdish issue from the point of view of Turkish Islam on the federation.

We constitute 15 percent of the population of this country, and although others struggle with each other in the context of the opposition and power struggle, they remain brothers and friends against the 15 percent rate. Therefore, today there are thousands of detainees in prisons, and they find only one way. It is the strike, and if these people are facing death with their bodies, then the reason for that is the lack of opposition. "
