Turkish attacks continue as guarantor states engaged in interests

Head of the Assyrian People Council in the Khabur and al-Hasak Region, Elias Anter, made clear that attacks by the Turkish Occupation Army and the affiliated mercenaries on the region would proceed unless international laws are being applied on the ground by the guarantor states, calling on the parts that pledge to protect components to abide by promises given and protect people in the north and east syria

Attacks by the Turkish Occupation Army and the affiliated mercenaries on areas of the north and east Syria proceed, where areas and populated villages in spite of presence by the so-called guarantor states, and all the ceasefire agreements.

One of the many areas that being targeted by shelling and attacks constantly is the Tal Tamr District in the al-Hasaka Canton, on which an interview was conducted by ANHA with head of the Assyrian People Council in the region of Khabur and al-Hasaka, Elias Anter, to shed light on the continued attacks though guarantor states to preserve the application of the ceasefire agreements are present at the area.

Repetition of the old scenario

Anter pointed out that the Turkish attacks on the region have never surprised Assyrians in the area, for they had experienced the Turkish enmity already, in the massacres committed at the Ottoman hands in 1915, that is, today, the same scenario of the massacres committed a hundred years ago against Assyrians, Syriacs and others, are being repeated again but this time at the hands of it's mercenaries of ISIS; in 2015 when they attacked villages of Tal Tamr''.

Anter added that :'' last year, the fascist state of Turkey and the affiliated mercenaries carried out attacks on areas of the north and east Syria, so people were displaced under the nose of the international community and the whole world that never give any stance''.

Attacks continue as interests hatched

According to Anter, ''these attacks are merely exchanged for, for the guarantor states care only for their interests, noting that such attacks would go on unless Recep Tayyib Erdogan is stopped, the Turkish State poses threats to the Middle East and the whole world''.

Anter added:'' we are no longer able to know that these attacks owe to Turkey strength and it's military capabilities or to deals and exchanges between the active countries in the region and the Middle East, or it has given allowance to interfere in the affairs of others''?

The international community is responsible

Elias Anter called on the international community to apply the relevant laws on the ground, '' condemnation and denouncement have never deterred Turkey to attack people in the region'', stressing at the end of his speech that those claiming they protect people such as the U.S. that is a part to Yasidis and Assyrians' protection agreement in Iraq and Syria from attacks and offensives, remained silent when the region was attacked by Turkish Occupation Army, so we call on them to abide by agreements they signed and to protect the region with all components''.
