​​​​​​​Murad Karayilan : Castle of Suppression on the verge of collapse

Answering question posed by the Dengê Welat radio, in a long interview regarding latest developments in Kurdistan, and the strict isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan, in addition to resistance by the Guerilla Forces against Turkish Occupation Army in the area of Haftanine in Legitimate Defense areas.  

The System at Imrali Island Prison is a psychological torture

Karayilan said:'' up to –date, we could not verify the real system at the Imrali Island Prison, and the actual situation of leader Abdullah Ocalan properly, and this, with the passage of 22 years, poses self-criticism, and we see that international public opinion don’t realize the situation at the Imrali Island Prison, and this due to our demerits, human rights and laws are being breached at Imrali Island Prison, that is a psychological torture system that being applied unjustly, this is the reality, and the fascist alliance between Justice and Development Party, the AKP, and the Nationalist Movement Party, the MHP, apply gradually this system to other prisons at Kurdistan, and then to be applied even in all Turkey''.    

Adding that'' it should be known that peace, justice and freedom would never see light in Kurdistan if the psychological torture goes on at the Imrali Island Prison, for it is a special war and extermination system against the Kurdish people''. 

A State of Fabrications  

Regarding the lies that been adopted by the Turkish State on victories achieved over Peoples' Defense Forces, the HPG, Karayilan noticed that ''in this period the Turkish Army conducts a psychological war against our movement and the Peoples' Defence Forces, the HPG, more than carrying out military operations''. 

They launch military operations to lay foundation for the psychological war, for they now focus on this one, and advertise for lies, and they have hundreds of satellite channels and radios, so they focus on the psychological war, to deface the reality on the ground''.  

Adding that '' they want to show that they have overcome Peoples' Defence Forces, the HPG, and Kurdistan Workers' Party, the PKK, and that they removed dangers surrounding them, and to incite national disputes amongst Turkish people and ignite chauvinistic feelings, to prolong their rule, that is the main aim''.

Regarding the Haftanine Resistance, Karayilan said '' in Haftanine, some operations are being documented by comrades, by videos, in which everything is clear, FOR INSTANCE, and there are 5 to 6 soldiers in a military posts that is being perished, these videos are widely spread, but Turkey has never given any statement on this, nobody asks there are videos, where are the dead soldiers? This state never feels ashamed, and makes it's lies as if they were facts, before the rule of Justice and Development Party, the AKP, the Turkish State was never so as it is today, in the past, when the enemy was afflicted with strikes, and weapons were seized, and operations carried out openly, the Turkish State at least used to confess that, undoubtedly, not everything was revealed as it was, but some, but today whatever the operations are nothing is being revealed''.
