Intellectuals: KDP works for interest of Erdogan

Intellectuals demanded KDP to stop its hostile policies towards the Kurdish people, where called them to take action against such plans that threaten the Kurds' gains.

In a step that only the Turkish occupation would benefit from, against all odds, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, in a letter described KNK (Kurdistan community Union) , as an illegal force that will cause Kurdish-Kurdish fighting, without referring to dialogue and reconciliations.

Since the 24th of October, KDP repeatedly sent armed men from "Golan" forces ,so-called Peshmerga Roj with heavy weapons to villages of Dinarti in

Akri Akra district near Gari region where guerrilla forces are daily targeted by the Turkish occupation army.

Forces of KDP are using Peshmerga Roj in all its plans which target the Democratic Community Union , likewise Turkey uses mercenaries in its attacks on any region, all that indicate the degree of coordination between Regional Government and Turkish occupation to fight guerrilla forces.

Member of the Academy of Democratic Society in Darbasiyah sub-district in Al-Jazira region, Abdul-Wahab Khalaf, says, "Since the beginning of Kurdistan Freedom Movement, as long as it works for the benefit of Kurdish people in its four parts, and unity." "We know that Barzani’s statement came after the meeting that took place between AKP and Kurdistan Democratic Party, where latter statements come in favor of Erdogan and his party, because the Kurdish infighting will bring scourges of war," Khalaf notes.

Khalaf added, "The land of Başur Kurdistan is full of Turkish points, so aren't a threat the people? We fully aware that Turkey is the biggest enemy to Kurds because we know what Turkey has committed throughout history from massacres."

Khalaf stressed that they will not accept Barzani's statements "because the priority is to unify Kurdish ranks and liberate all occupied Kurdistan, it is not a time for incitement, from this, we understand that Barzani's statements incite to fighting."

For his part, the Co-chair of the Union of Intellectuals in the Al-Darbasiyah sub-district, the writer, Ahmed Suleiman, praised, "Barzani's latest statements do not benefit the Kurdish people, but rather destroy all their gains that were achieved with the blood of thousands of martyrs."

He added, "These statements call for violence between Kurds, and we do not wish that, the people should go down to the squares demonstrate before committing such a mistake."

In the conclusion of his speech, Suleiman called Masoud Barzani to work to prevent war.
