During the past week, Arab newspapers handled the situation in the areas of the Damascus government, in addition to the American elections, and the Lebanese and Libyan situation.

The West expects an expected breakdown in Syria

To start with the Syrian issue, and in this context, Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper said: “Western officials expected skirmishes on “contact lines” between the three areas of influence in Syria, without a fundamental change in their “borders,” expressing concern about “sudden collapses” in government areas due to the accumulation of internal crises and Western sanctions.

"For the first time since 2011, there has not been a fundamental change in the" borders "between the three Syrian regions, but Western officials indicated that external and local" actors "might work to benefit from America's preoccupation with its elections, to impose facts on the field in Idlib or east of the Euphrates, based on the belief that the candidate, Joe Biden, will be tougher to deal with than Trump in several arenas, including Syria.

A Western official indicated that there was an American opinion that the "maximum pressure campaign" on Damascus; Its tools include "Caesar Act" sanctions, political isolation, economic *negligence, the American military presence and the Israeli raids, which will push Damascus to make internal political and geopolitical concessions, amid European concern that "maximum pressure" will not push Damascus into concessions, and may even lead to collapses in Government areas without concessions.

One of those concerned points to "vivid examples of this in the chaos and assassinations in southern Syria, and the economic and de fact to crisis in Damascus."

"Muslim Brotherhoods are losing bet on Biden's victory."

Regarding the American elections, Al-Arab newspaper said: "The MB's enthusiasm seemed to be great for the Dems' candidate Biden's progress in the US election results, as if they hope to revive back Obama era, during which they had effective role in" Arab Spring ", while observers say Biden is not Obama. "

It added, "Just as the MB's media celebrated Biden's results, the Iranian and the pro-Tehran media showed remarkable interaction towards the democratic candidate, not only to spite his rival Donald Trump, who tightened the siege on Iran and prevented it from exporting oil, but in the hope of restoring the favor it obtained in Obama rule. "

The Brotherhood does not only look at the benefits they will get through their "partnership" with Biden, such as obtaining consulting positions and establishing their influence within the community, and ceasing the eyes of censorship on their propaganda and financial activities, but they plan to get gains for the mother group and its branches outside the United States

The first goal will be to obtain support from the Biden administration, if his victory is finally approved, to put pressure on Egypt, especially President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who have not stopped inciting him, as well as to break the restrictions on Hamas and facilitate its access to donations and donations collected by the Brotherhood and their various associations for the benefit of the movement is classified as a terrorist organization in America.

But observers say that it is difficult for the Brotherhood and their supporters, especially Qatar, to enjoy Obama period advantages due to major changes in the region, such that Sisi active role in the region's files such as the Libyan or Palestinian file or Sudanese, and in the new peace track between Israel and the Gulf.

Biden has not yet spoken officially about his strategy in the Middle East, which will take into account the UAE's interests and will not conflict with changes in the region to satisfy the Brotherhood, Qatar or others, in addition to that Biden will prioritize the American interior in light of the emerging balances in the House of Representatives and Senates/, and reassuring the American street about the seriousness of the social reforms that he intends to implement.

"Giving birth to the Lebanese government is not imminent."

On the Lebanese side, writer Samir Qastanteen said in an article published in An-Nahar newspaper: “People are waiting for the formation of the government, and the media suggests that the issue is almost finished, and that the dispute is only over assigning a portfolio to a current or party, and some suggest that the president-designate is supported by the West and the East, I personally think Prime Minister Hariri initiated his own initiative, and this does not mean that France has prior positions from him and that it wants to thwart him, and this does not mean that the United States does not want to see a Lebanese government exercising its powers naturally, but I do not see a government that is against the French initiative, so any government does not belong to The starting points of the initiative will not be born, and if it is born, it will be born dead. Birth is not imminent, and it will not be a political quota system.

Libyan talks make progress

Concerning the Libyan issue, Al-Bayan said: "The Acting United Nations Envoy for Support in Libya, Stephanie Williams, announced that the two delegations of the Libyan Joint Military Committee had made progress in talks to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement."

The UN envoy said in a media conference following the opening session of the talks hosted by Ghadames: “There is a consensus and remarkable progress reached by the ten officers, which is very encouraging and important to transfer this spirit and responsibility to the political class,” without giving additional details about the agreed on points. About it, and Williams added: "In tomorrow's session, I will go into the details of implementing the terms of the agreement."

In turn, the Director of the Moral Guidance Department in the Libyan Army, Major General Khaled Al-Mahjoub, announced that the Libyan armed forces consider the Ghadames Agreement a basis for stability in Libya, indicating that Libya cannot be stabilized without dismantling the militias, handing over their weapons, evacuating mercenaries, and stopping the Turkish intervention.

Warning French messages to the West against compromising political Islam and extremists

Regarding the French measures to pursue the extremists, Al-Arab newspaper said: "The French prime minister Jean Castex has sent strong indications to Europe, especially countries such as Britain and Germany, that his country will not accept “compromises” that lead to normalization with the currents of political Islam that provided the intellectual and spiritual incubator for militants who carry out terrorist operations, not in France alone, but in other European countries, some of them sought to contain these groups. "

Observers of the French affairs considered that Castex’s words are a message from President Emmanuel Macron to internal and external parties that have been advocating for the localization of political Islam in France and Europe under the banner of freedoms, forgetting that the militant ideology carried by Islamic associations and centers aims mainly to undermine the freedom system on which values are based French, and replacing them with foreign values and forcing the French to adopt them.

Those observers added that France's long experience with representatives of political Islam from the gates of various associations led to one result: It is the extremists' investment in the climate of freedom to build a secluded world based on hatred of the West and charging young people, especially newcomers, with hatred to take over the implementation of shocking operations.

It is also clear that the French message means Tunisia, from which the attackers of French culture are now escaping, as it states that Paris is not prepared to recognize an Islamic model on its southern borders that could form a nucleus for cultivating hatred against the West, and that the Islamists ’“ concessions ”regarding moderation and identification with universal values are not Only a maneuver that ends in the absence of their weakness.
