Organizational system must be strengthened to thwart plots against region's peoples

The Democratic Union Party held an expanded meeting for the people of Ma'shouk town to elect representatives for Tirbê Spiyê District Council of al-Jazeera region.

170 members of the Democratic Union Party and dozens of townspeople attended the meeting which was held in the town, during which Suleiman Abo Bakr, the Member of the Democratic Union Party's General Council and Fasih Hussein, the Co-chair of the Democratic Union Party in Tirbê Spiyê district spoke and indicated that the party was founded on lofty principles, and it is struggling in order to achieve freedom and democracy.

Abo Bakr and Hussein noted that the Syrian government and the Turkish state are trying to create a strife among components by targeting the heads of the tribes, and they stressed the need to strengthen the organizational system and management in order to thwart all the plots being hatched against the peoples of the region.

During the meeting, 150 townspeople from the Arab component applied for membership in the party, and then 3 members were elected as representatives of the party's council in Tirbê Spiyê district.
