Our correspondent held an interview with the Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party in the city of Aleppo, Badran Hamo, about tightening the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and its goal,

Badran Hamo said: "The Turkish state imposes isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan in order to prevent him from communicating with the outside world, to prevent his ideas and philosophy from reaching outside Imrali, and Turkey wants by isolation to separate the head from the body, that is, to cut off the only communication between the leader Ocalan and the peoples in the region."

Turkey's practices in Imrali are immoral

Hamo indicated that European countries, among them Germany, called for the necessity to put an end to the practices of the Turkish state against Imrali prisoners and the leader Abdullah Ocalan, in addition to its commitment to implement the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Hamo added: "Everyone knows that 22 years ago, Germany had a role in the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Ocalan. They remained silent about what the leader Ocalan was being subjected to, so European countries must exert pressure on the Turkish state because its violations in Imrali are immoral and inhuman."

Hamo added: "The trade unions in Britain, whose members exceed 12,000,000 people, are demanding for the first time the leader Ocalan's freedom, and they raised his pictures, as this affected the Turkish state's policy, so all Kurds in Europe must go out and demand the leader Ocalan's freedom."

The CPT did not do its duty

Badarn Hamo asserted that the CPT did not fulfil its responsibilities under European Union law and did not adhere to international, humanitarian and ethical standards, which means that this committee is under the influence of Turkish politics and the forces of hegemony and capitalism.

The democratic nation is the solution

Hamo said: "Before the Justice and Development Party came to power in Turkey, the Turkish state was a secular and democratic state, but after it came to power, Turkey was turned into a fascist state demanding the building of a new Ottoman project. The only project that will stand against the Ottoman project is the democratic nation's proposed by the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and it will be the solution to the crises."

Then Badran Hamo concluded his speech by saying: "Despite the tight isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, he managed to transform Imrali prison, which was a place of torture, murder and executions, into a political academy and a place for free thought and finding solutions to crises."
