Sheikho's statement came as a comment on what the Kurdish community is circulating about the Kurdish National Council presenting a demand in the Kurdish national unity talks to cancel education in the Kurdish curriculum in Rojava.

The Co-chair of the Council of the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates region said: "The conditions that were put forward during the discussions of Kurdish national unity serve the enemy, and they are the same endeavors that the enemy of the Kurdish people seeks to achieve."

"Whoever asks for language abolition will fulfill the enemy's demands"

Sheikho noted that "those who evade their historical responsibility by setting conditions that strike national unity and serve the goals of the enemy must abandon this policy and move away from personal and party interests."

He added: "We are now in the 21st century. The fate of the Kurdish people is still unknown despite their acquisition of these gains. Whoever wants to see themselves as a Kurd must now strive to preserve these gains. Otherwise, our fate is linked to each other."

Ahmed Sheikho said: "The parties or the party is not a goal but a means to achieve some goal, but if the time comes when the party is the goal itself, here lies the real problem. Therefore, partisan interests must be put aside, getting close to the Kurdish-Kurdish reconciliation."

Commenting on the demands of canceling learning in the Kurdish curriculum in Rojava, Sheikho said: "The language that we once hoped to read in it, rather we were imprisoned when we spoke it today is being taught in schools and it is the dream of every Kurdish citizen who sees in themselves the pure Kurdish values. Let us do not deceive each other. Whoever asks for the abolition of this language is in fact carrying out the mission of this people's enemy."

"The error must be reversed"

Ahmed Sheikho also touched upon the demands of abolishing the Self-Defense Duty in the region, and said: "These demands are unreasonable to accept. It is not possible to ask for the abolition of a military force and to come with another one. These are not demands for reconciliation or consensual demands, but rather to create more rifts in the Kurdish rank. These demands cannot be accepted by the people."

Sheikho pointed out that the conditions on the international arena are favorable for the Kurdish people to obtain their stolen rights, and continued: "Why do not we seek to achieve the agendas of our people instead of seeking to serve the enemies, why do not we take advantage of this historic opportunity and achieve the hopes of our people. We must not deceive our people by slogans which say: "We Want an Independent Kurdistan." Now, we see those who want independence and those who want to serve the enemy of the Kurdish people, so we must say it frankly; the political situation is not as it has been in Kurdish history. We must accept each other first of all, and the opportunity now is given to us.

He concluded his speech saying: "Everything has become clear now, so they have to get out of dirty conspiracies and reverse the error. Now our doors are open for dialogue, and if needed, we are ready to show flexibility in the service of the Kurdish people and the Kurdish issue. The Kurdish-Kurdish talks should be on this basis."
