Saad Ahmed, like all his fellow journalists, had only his pictorial weapons, through which he could prove to the whole world that their concern is a shameful in the face of the annihilation policy by Turkish aircraft squadrons against the resistance fighters and defenders of their territories in the city of Serêkaniyê.

The "Truth Martyr" was able to prove to the whole world that the Turkish occupation did not aim to cleanse the region from the fighters of the terrorist organization as classified by Ankara, on the contrary, its missiles killed him as well as dozens of civilians, and left hundreds of wounded. He was a witness on Ankara's message to the international community and the whole world, about its goals in northeast Syria.

Saad was accompanied by his injured colleague Muhammad Rasho, who was working for STÊRK TV, joined the convoy of martyrs on October 13, 2019 during the military operation launched by the Turkish occupation and the mercenaries of the so-called "Syrian National Army" on the NE Syria, especially Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî / Tal Abyad.

He was named after his martyr uncle, and his childhood characteristics were distinctive ′

The martyr, who was named after his uncle who was martyred within the ranks of the Kurdish Liberation Movement in 1997, was born in the village of Bab al-Khair, north of Tal Tamer district in Al-Hasakah canton, on January 20th of 2000. He was brought up on the love for the homeland. He was the youngest in the five-member family.

Saad childhood in the village was full of sincerity, love for his village children and the neighboring villages. He was beloved in his village.

He was quiet and shy person and distinguished by his love for technology, so that he was doing his best to be well-experienced in this field.

Saad's father, Muhammad Saeed Sheikhmous, mentioned one of his son's situations, "At the beginning of the Syrian revolution, a piece of news on one of the Syrian news stations drew my attention at the time "Bashar Al-Assad submits his resignation as President of the Republic" I was shocked, until Saad told me smiling that he wrote that.

In 2015, the martyr Saad's family moved to Tal Tamr district, and in the same year, he started journalism despite his young age.

Saad often tried to join the ranks of the military forces, the People's Protection Units (YPG), but he was not accepted as he was still a minor, and after many unsuccessful attempts, he chose another way to have an effective role in the Rojava Revolution by joining Hawar News Agency.

The march of the martyr was eventful in the journalistic field, accompanied by his colleagues in the agency, and he was known for his calmness and success at work, and he was a witness on many major events of the region and documented the pains and the victories that his countrymen against terrorism.

'To follow in the footsteps of fellow martyrs'

"His three colleagues' martyrdom, namely" Rizgar Deniz, Delishan Ibish, Hawker Muhammad "during the military campaign against ISIS mercenaries in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor had a great impact on Saad's life, Since that time, he decided to go ahead on their path and uncover the facts to the world. His father said.

The martyr spent a year in the ranks of Self-Defense Forces and after completing his compulsory service, he started once again his journalistic career.

With the start of Turkish military operations in the regions of northeast Syria against Serêkaniyê, he carried his duties of documenting their crimes against the people of the city.

'Fulfillment of the Covenant'

On the 13th of October of 2019, as the fighting intensified inside the city of Serêkaniyê, Saad headed with the civilian convoy that entered the city to support the military forces and uncover the Turkish genocide.

While civilians were in the middle of the city’s market covered with zinc panels, chanting in support of the forces. The situation was full of strength, resistance and steadfastness.

"I was on one side, Saad was on the other side," Sorgul said. "After Turkish warplanes bombed the civilian convoy for the first time, I was not injured, and Saad was far from the point that was targeted, where he was conducting the meetings."

She added: "Then the martyr Saad left the photography and went to the point that was targeted, indifferent to the fierce bombardment that the convoy was subjected to, to search for me, but we did not meet, until the planes bombed that point again, and because of that, Saad was martyred, with shrapnel in his head."

The body of the journalist martyr Saad Ahmed was buried at the Martyrs' Shrine in Tal Tamr district on October 14, 2019, during a ceremony attended by thousands of people from Al-Hasakah canton, and a large number of journalists.

The journalist martyr Saad Ahmed left a great impact among his colleagues, they still remember him on daily basis.
