Şingal Council refuses any resolutions against will of Yazidis

The Council of Democratic Autonomous Administration-Şingal issued a statement to the public opinion, regarding the agreement of Baghdad-Hewler.

The text of the statement read:

"As it is known, the policies of denial and extermination against our Yazidi community have been practiced by several authoritarian regimes, the most recent of which was on the 3rd of August, after surrendering Şingal by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, with no indifference from the Iraqi government. but the enemy could not reach the goals they had planned due to the resistance and will of the Yazidi community that made great sacrifices.

Before 2014, the political parties imposed their policies on Yazidis, but that period is over. Neither the society nor the stage is the same as the past.

These enforcing policies will be useless ′

We in the Autonomous Administration in Şingal follow the general situation and developments regarding the Bagdad-Hewler agreement, with regard to conflict areas within Act 140, some issues related to Şingal were agreed upon in the October 9 agreement, without taking any consideration for the Yezidis and the components of Şingal. We say that whatever discussions are issued, they will not be of any use without the opinion of the Yazidis being the basis.

We want to be convinced where the interest of our society lies, accordingly, the interest and protection of society is the basis, we are working today to reach a common position and opinion that is the basis of protecting the existence and freedom of our society.

'We have been running Şingal for 6 years without problems′ ′

For 6 years we have been serving Şingal with no problems. That is why any agreement neglects the will of our community, will be affectless. In short, we will not accept them. We also discuss these topics in the interest of our people.

In order for these discussions to reach their desired results, we must be represented as key party, without that, no discussions can be accepted. In the end we support discussions, peace, and the solution, but in accordance with the truth of Şingal and its components.

Therefore, we urge all Şingal components not to remain silent about the decisions issued against them, and not to be without a position. "
