This morning, hundreds of residents of Tal Tamer district, members of civil institutions, members of political parties, and members of the Internal Security Forces have gathered in front of the Martyrs' Families Council in the city center to denounce the plot against the leader Ocalan, and to decry the first annual occupation of the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi / Tal Abyad.

The demonstration set off in front of the Families of Martyrs Council and began by chanting slogans calling for the freedom of the leader Ocalan, and denouncing Turkish occupation to the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi / Tal Abyad, in addition to raising large banners, reading “Let us defeat the occupation and protect the values of our revolution” and another that read “We salute our people's resistance in Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Tal Abyad, and flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces and political parties.

The demonstrators roamed the main streets of the city and stopped at the big roundabout in the east of the city, turning into a mass gathering. There, a speech on behalf of the Democratic Union Party for the Hasakah canton was delivered by Suleiman Khalil.

In his speech, Suleiman demanded freedom for leader Abdullah Ocalan, recalling the martyrs and their sacrifices in defending the region and its people.

He pointed out that "we recall, today, two events that bear great pain for the Kurdish people and the peoples of the region, due to the plot that targeted the leader Ocalan and his expulsion from Syria by the capitalist countries, and the second Turkish aggression that targeted the regions of northern and eastern Syria."

He explained that "the date attacks launched on the city of Serekaniye and the regions of northern and eastern Syria was not a coincidence, but rather it matches the plot against the leader in 1998, and this indicates that the Turkish occupation targets the Kurdish people wherever they are and is trying to obliterate their identity."

Suleiman Khalil noted, "The components of northern and eastern Syria must join hands and stand against the fires of sedition fabricated by the Turkish occupation and the government of Damascus, in addition to avoiding the special war that the Turkish occupation is waging on the regions of north and east Syria."

At the end of his speech, he stressed that in the political parties they have become more powerful than before, at the diplomatic level, and that victory will be the ally of the people in northern and eastern Syria.

The march ended with chanting slogans demanding the freedom of the leader Ocalan and demanding the liberation of the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Sp from the occupation and its mercenaries.
