16 Syrian soldiers killed in rural Homs
16 soldiers of the Damascus government forces were killed as a result of falling into a minefield and an attack by ISIS mercenaries in the Homs countryside during the past 24 hours.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights SOHR reported that 16 soldiers of the Damascus government forces, including an “officer,” were killed during the past 24 hours, as a result of them falling into a minefield and an attack by ISIS mercenaries in the Sukhna desert in the Homs countryside.
The death toll during military operations within the Syrian desert, according to SOHR documents, has reached 420 dead since the beginning of the year 2024. They are: 43 citizens, including a child, 348 from Damascus government forces and its affiliated groups, 29 ISIS mercenaries, who were killed in 138 ISIS attacks within various areas of the desert. It was carried out through ambushes, armed attacks, and bombings in the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Homs.
Most of these attacks occurred in the desert areas of Deir ez-Zor, Homs, and Raqqa.
