16 mercenaries arrested, tunnels discovered in Al-Hol Camp
The "Enduring Security" Operations Room revealed the arrest of 16 ISIS mercenaries in and around Al-Hol and parts of the camp, marking the results of the third day of combing and raid operations.
The "Enduring Security" Operations Room stated that the operation launched by the Internal Security Forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the Women's Protection Units on November 5 is ongoing into its fourth day, with the continued search and inspection of Al-Hol camp and its surroundings.
In a statement published today on the official website of the SDF, it was reported that several ISIS cells were dismantled within and outside the camp. The combing operations covered large geographic areas, alongside precise raids on mercenaries hideouts.
The statement disclosed, “As a result of the third day, forces swept through the city of Al-Hol, its outskirts, and large sections within the camp, arresting 16 ISIS mercenaries and seizing a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military supplies.”
The operation forces also discovered two tunnels within the camp used to conceal weapons and mercenaries.
The "Enduring Security" Operations Room noted that some ISIS cells attempted to escape and relocate within sections of the camp. All these attempts failed, and the operation forces achieved their objectives in detaining them and completing the necessary security measures.
