16 civilians killed in two days in Syria

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of 16 civilians, including children, over two days in various parts of Syria, as a result of ongoing military operations, explosions, assassinations, and the remnants of war.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 14 people were killed on April 1st in various parts of Syria. Among them were six people, including four children, who died from tampering with landmines in the village of al-Dhiba, north of Hasaka. Others were killed in sectarian reprisals and criminal incidents.

The Observatory affirmed its continued documentation of civilian casualties and violations, and its publication of related statistics. It called for holding those responsible accountable before the appropriate courts to ensure that they do not escape punishment.
