16 citizens kidnapped in occupied Afrin

Turkish occupation and its mercenaries affiliated with Turkey kidnapped 16 citizens of the occupied city of Afrin during the first week of this March.

Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue to commit crimes against the people of the occupied city of Afrin, including home invasions and kidnapping of civilians, as the rates of violence, crime, and kidnapping in occupied Afrin have increased remarkably.

Yesterday, the Violations Documentation Center published: A detailed report about the kidnapping of 16 citizens by mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish state during March, which brings the number of kidnapped persons to 112 during the current year 2024.

The following are the names of the citizens and the circumstances of their kidnapping

1-2024 March

The mercenaries of the "National Army" (Civil Police) stormed the village of Bebaka in the Bilbil district in the occupied Afrin countryside and kidnapped 3 citizens: Ziyad Sharaf, 49 years old, Abd al-Rahman Sharaf, 62 years old, and Salan Dilo, 58 years old.

The mercenaries also kidnapped the Kurdish citizen Kamiran Dibo Sido (44), a resident of the village of Haj Hassana in the Jinders district, and he was taken to an unknown destination.

2-2024 March

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) stormed the village of Amara in the Mobata district in the Afrin countryside and carried out a random search campaign of residents’ homes, in addition to kidnapping 3 members of one family: elderly Roslin Kamal Murad, her elderly husband Fathi Abdel Hanan Muhammad, 70 years old, and their son Sherzad Fathy Muhammad.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) launched a campaign targeting Kurdish citizens in the Jinders district of Afrin countryside, during which a number of citizens were kidnapped, including: Omar Rasho (43 years old), Nihad Hassan (37 years old), and Ziyad Rashid Muhammad (48 years old).

3-2024 March

National Army mercenaries stormed the Maabatli district in the Afrin countryside and carried out a random arrest campaign that targeted a number of citizens, including: Farhad Hanif Muhammad from the village of Qantara, GivaraIbrahim Muhammad, Muhammad Ali Jamki Hussein, Muhammad Radwan Mustafa from the village of Araba, and they were taken to an unknown destination.

7-2024 March

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen Ahmed Ibrahim Hanan (48 years old), from the village of Baadina, in the Rajo district, and the citizen, Rezan Sheikh Muhammad (36 years old), from the people of the village of Yalanquz, in the Jinders district, in Afrin, and took them to an unknown destination.
