Al-Darbasiyah people condemn Turkish attacks on Haftanin

Today, the Kongra Star organized a demonstration condemning the Turkish attacks on Haftanin and the legitimate defense areas in Başur of Kurdistan, in the Al-Darbasiyah sub-district.

Hundreds of Al-Darbasiyah residents and villages with its civil and military institutions participated in the demonstration that started in front of the Revolutionary Youth Center in the sub-district, waving the flags of the KS and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading "No to international silence regarding the genocide committed by Turkish fascism against the Kurdish people." Turkish fascism is a threat to global security, so let us stand together against this terrorism.” “We condemn the Turkish fascist aggression against our Kurdish people in Şingal, Maxmur and the mountains of Kurdistan.”

The demonstrators roamed the main street in the city, chanting slogans condemning and denouncing the Turkish aggression against Haftanin, and slogans saluting the resistance shown by the HPG in Haftanin.

The demonstrators gathered in front of the Kongra Star Center, and after standing a minute of silence, the administrator spoke at Al-Hasakah canton, Zainab Murad, who denounced the Turkish attacks on Haftanin and said: “In light of the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the territory of the Kurdistan region, we see that the President of the KRG Nechirvan Barzani, meets the President Turkish Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkey.

She added, "Turkey, under the pretext of the PKK, is working to occupy areas in Başur, Rojava and the Middle East in general." Zainab Murad also condemned the silence of the international community regarding the Turkish attacks and attacks.

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans saluting the resistance of Haftanin.
