The Turkish occupation state, through its recent attacks on the Haftanin area in Başur Kurdistan, is seeking to occupy more Kurdish lands, and in this regard, the Secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Roj Party in Syria, Kovan Kanu, explains that the Turkish state has been trying since ancient times to control and occupy the neighboring areas, and to extend its influence over it and plunder its goods. Today, it is carrying out its occupation projects, and it is trying to recover the borders that were established between countries according to global agreements at the expense of the Kurdish people's lands.

He also explained: "The Turkish occupation occupied areas from Syria, such as Afrin, Jarablus and Azaz, up to Serekaniye and Tel-Abyad, and committed crimes and practices that are contrary to all international charters and covenants related to human rights against the people of these areas."

Kanu noted that the occupation is trying to occupy the Haftanin area in Başur Kurdistan, launching violent attacks using all kinds of sophisticated weapons, bombing the area with warplanes and committing daily massacres against the people there, and he said: “The Turkish state is trying, through its occupation of Haftanin to strike the gains of the Kurdish people, and deduct new lands from Kurdistan amid systematic silence by world powers and international organizations. "

The Kurds must unite

On the role that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is playing in light of these attacks, Kanu said: "The Kurdistan Democratic Party must clarify its position on these Turkish occupation operations in the regions of Başur Kurdistan."

He stressed the need to put pressure European and regional countries to prevent Turkey from occupying more areas within Başur Kurdistan.
