Zarkan people: Rumors aim to empty region from people

The Turkish occupation and the mercenaries of what is known as the "Syrian National Army" continue with their systematic violations against unarmed civilians in the villages and cities adjacent to the lines of contact in Al-Hasakah canton.

Serêkaniyê district has been subjected to continuous and systematic bombing since the arrival of the occupation and its mercenaries to the outskirts of Zarkan district after the occupation of Serêkaniyê, before the eyes of the guarantor countries for a ceasefire in accordance with the agreement signed between the SDF and the Russian forces and the Turkish occupation forces on October 22 2019, which provided for an immediate cessation of firing and attacks in the area.

Zarkan sub-district witnessed in the past few days a state of panic due to fake news by various media outlets affiliated with the Turkish occupation and mercenaries on the one hand, and the Syrian government on the other hand, to force the people to flee and empty the area.

The bombing did not stop

Taha Esso said, "The bombing of Zarkan district by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries is not for the first time, since its arrival on the outskirts of the district after its occupation of the city of Serêkaniyê in late 2019, and the occupation bombed it continuously and almost daily."

"The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries indiscriminate and continuous bombing, is to empty the city of its residents and exterminate them," he added.

Esso notes that despite the presence of the guarantor Russian forces for the ceasefire in conjunction with the Syrian government forces, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are targeting the populated city continuously without the guarantor forces moving idly, in addition to the escape of government forces Syrian during the bombing.

Esso notes, "All the major and guarantor states keep silent during all wars and attacks that affect the regions of northern and eastern Syria."

He called on the people of the region who are abroad to return to their homes and their city and stand in the face of Turkish attacks and remove them from their land.

The rumors are an attempt to destabilize security

On her part, Dalal Hussein, shed light on the latest rumors about the displacement of civilians from Zarkan district, saying: "All rumors that talk about displacement in Zarkan sub-district are unfounded."

Hussein added, "Despite the indiscriminate bombardment of the city by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, there is no case of displacement. Many parties are trying to destabilize the security of the area and intimidate its residents with the aim of emptying it of civilians."

War propaganda targets civilians

At the end of her speech, Dalal stressed, "it is a special war, carried out by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in order to target defenseless civilians."
