The demonstrators raised banners that read: “Turkey occupies our land, kills our children and elders, Russia is silent, victory for the Haftanin Resistance, the victory for the peoples, not the brutality of the Turkish state, long live the resistance of Haftanin. They carried pictures of the martyrs and pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan, chanting slogans that salute the resistance of the People Defense Forces and Haftanin.

At the Sardam camp for the displaced, they stood for a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by a speech by the member of the Women’s Council in the camp in al-Shahba canton, Laila Ibrahim, where she said: “The Turkish state is brutally attacking the regions of the Middle East before the expiry of the Lausanne agreement. It wants to announce its new Ottoman Empire under the new Ottoman Sultan Erdogan.

Laila concluded her speech by saying: "In the name of the displaced of Afrin in al-Shahba camps, we call on the United Nations to stop the Turkish state's attacks in northern and eastern Syria, Iraq and the Middle East."

Then the demonstration ended with chanting slogans saluting the resistance of Haftanin and denouncing the Turkish occupation.
