Massive security campaign in al-Hol camp

The military and security forces began a large-scale combing campaign in al-Hol camp, in addition to the process of reorganizing part of the camp that the security and administrative authorities started in the camp yesterday.

Al-Hol camp is witnessing 45 km east of the Syrian city of al-Hasakah, since yesterday morning, the process of reorganizing al-Muhajerat section, in an effort by the security forces to reduce the severity of this section, and install all data and information related to families within the camp, through the relevant security and military institutions.

Hours after the Syrian Democratic Forces ended the first phase of the "Deterring Terrorism" campaign, which included the southern areas of the city of al-Hasakah, the countryside, and the northern and eastern desert of the Syrian city of Deir-ez-Zor, YPJ began yesterday evening, a large-scale inspection and sweeping campaign in the so-called "al-Muhajerat section" in the camp designated for ISIS families.

The security and military forces participating in the sweep campaign are seeking to end the cells that might have been formed by ISIS mercenary women within the camp, and to reduce the violations that have increased recently in the mentioned section, and remove all the women that the establishment of Sharia courts and children’s training departments in extremist ISIS.

Our correspondent from al-Hol reported that units of the Internal Security Forces – YPJ of the anti-terrorist forces, riot control units, and security forces overseeing the security and guarding of the camp participate in the sweeping campaign alongside the YPJ.

Our correspondent pointed out that the sweeping campaign started in the early hours of the morning, and included the division of (al-Muhajerat section) into 6 sectors, separating it from each other via metal wires, prohibiting roaming and moving in the camp, and searching all residents, and tents in the so-called al-Muhajerat section.

Yesterday morning, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a written statement to the general public saying, "It is our commitment to contribute to the consolidation of international peace and Security, Autonomous Administration, and through its military and Internal Security Forces, and in partnership with the International Coalition, will improve the living and humanitarian conditions in the camp.
