Turkish intelligence cell arrested in Manbij

The media center of Manbij Military Council issued a statement in this regard, in which it said:

"On April 4,2020, the Anti-Terrorism Unit of Manbij Military Council arrested a weapons smuggling cell belonging to the Turkish Intelligence (MIT) and Ahrar al-Sharqiyya mercenaries on the border between Manbij city and the areas under the Turkish occupation control. After a monitoring and follow-up operation, the Anti-Terrorism Unit was able to arrest this cell consisted of four people, and after conducting investigations, it was revealed that these weapons are being prepared by them to be sent to cells related to the Turkish MIT in al-Raqqa. The kinds of weapons that were in their possession and were confiscated included 35 Kalashnikovs, 7 NATO weapons , 1 M Sixteen."

It is worth mentioning that on April 3, the Anti-Terrorism Forces of the Military Council arrested a terrorist who wanted to blow himself up in Manbij city. This is considered part of a series of terrorist attacks launched by the Turkish intelligence (MIT) whose aim is to undermine the state of security and stability in the areas under the protection of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
