Given the Coronavirus outbreak, the world's concern about this global pandemic, thousands fatalities and many countries decisions to release some prisoners, but the Turkish authorities continue their violations against Ocalan, impose sedate isolation on him to cover his health status.

Doubts are raising about the health of Ocalan as the isolation imposed on him continues, and his lawyer and family are not allowed to meet with him to verify his health.

"In the Turkish state of occupation, there are many death and infection of COVID-19, so we are very concerned about the failure to disclose the health status of Ocalan inside Turkish prisons and to meet with his lawyer," Farhan Daoud, co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement in Hasakeh, told The Associated Media.

He criticized a law passed by Turkey that allows for the releasing the prisoners of criminal charges, but excludes political prisoners, saying that "the spread of the Corona pandemic in the prisons has led to an amnesty for prisoners and it included only terrorists, not the  political figures fighting for the will and freedom of their people."

Daoud, co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, called on international and human rights organizations to intervene to meet with the family and lawyer of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and to check on his health.
