The Al Jazeera Crisis Cell issued today a written statement containing a number of new measures under the curfew.

The statement read:

"With the continued curfew in northeast of Syria amid the increased risk and spread of the pandemic outbreak, according to WHO and recording a death of COVID-19 at the National Hospital of Qamshli without any coordination or notification between the regime and the health authority of the administration.  Amid the regime silence about such cases we have many doubts about keeping them secret which poses a great danger on our people in the Al Jazeera region and all over eastern Syria. We hold the WHO and the regime accountable for the consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak in our regions. "We assure all our people that the Autonomous Administration and all its institutions are working continually to protect our people and secure their needs, which facilitates the curfew process and to work to tighten these measures."

During its meeting, the CC approved a number of measures, including:

1-Allow industrial shops that were excluded from the  curfew to maintain the harvesters from the morning to the evening.

2. Allow the exchange and remittance shops to work on Tuesdays of each week in addition to Fridays .

3. Shifts are organized by the Doctors' Union and the health authority to open analysis labs and radiology centres, so that there is a lab and a radiology centre on duty in each area except Qamshlo and Al -Hasakeh, which are assigned to two laboratories and two radiology centres."

The statement called on residents to "comply more with the prohibitions, instructions and preventive measures and that the necessary measures will be taken against anyone who violates these resolutions and procedures".
