​​​​​​​Turkish occupation practices against martyr Egîd Ipek violates international law

In a behavior far from morality and humanity, the Turkish authorities sent the corpse of HPG's fighter to his mother through mail, after 3 years his body were kept, and preventing his extradition, who was martyred in 2017 in Dersam district of north Kurdistan.

To condemn this, The Martyrs Families' Council in Al-Jazeera region issued a statement to the public opinion, stating:

"As the world stands helpless in the face of the Corona pandemic, the Turkish occupation resorts to hostility to the Kurdish people with all brutal methods to eliminate its existence through its mercenaries.

As it tries to spread the Corona pandemic in the regions of Bakur Kurdistan, northern and eastern Syria through the mercenaries afflicted with it.

Other than that, the Turkish occupation committed a brutal crime against a fighter in HPG's ranks, cutting it into pieces, and sending his body by mailing him in a box to his family.

The Turkish occupation and the Justice and Development Party did not stop their hostility to the Kurdish people and all the peoples that live in the region, as they practiced against them the killing, displacement and mutilation of the bodies of martyrs, which is a crime against all humanity.

The killing, displacement and mutilation of corpses by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in Serêkaniyê, Afrin and Tel-Abyed are not new to the actions Turkey has undertaken throughout history.

The Turkish occupation authorities sent the corpse of the martyr Egîd Ipek through e-mail to his relatives in a behavior far from morals and humanity, and contravention of international law.

We in the Martyrs Families' Council cannot forget this painful scene and the heinous crime against the martyr Egîd Îpek and mutilation in his body, and send it to his family as a message of denial of the existence of the Kurdish people and all peoples who eager for freedom.
