Crisis Cell in Deir ez-Zor continues its preventive campaigns to limit spread of Corona

The Crisis Cell launched a campaign of sterilization and spraying, which involved most villages, hamlets  and main streets of the entrances and exits of villages, in addition to sterilizing the institutions in the region, where these steps come within the precautionary measures to prevent the emergence and spread of the virus.

The workshops began the sterilization campaign today, starting from the villages of al-Jazrat in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, spreading among the streets, especially the markets crowded with people, and running spray sprinklers with a strong push to deliver sterilization to all places.

The co-chair of the People’s Municipality in al-Sa’wah village of the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor Zakaria al-Assaf explained: "Through direct and immediate coordination with the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, we have taken several preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus, the most important of which is the sterilization campaigns that are still ongoing under the curfew."

He added: "Since two days, we have begun campaigns to spray and sterilize all private and public facilities, main streets, hamlets and villages." He appealed to the people to abide by the curfew for the preservation of their safety.

The curfew decision meets the response of Deir ez-Zor people after it was approved by the Autonomous Administration on the 23^rd of this month.
