PYD’s eighth conference continue activities closed to media

The activities of the eighth conference of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) started under the slogan "The democratic union defeats the occupation, develops the autonomous administration and builds a democratic Syria", in the presence of 600 delegates from North and East Syria, Başûr Kurdistan and Europe, in addition to the conference guests from representatives of Democratic Syrian Council, The Syrian Democratic Forces, the National Coordination Authority - Change Movement, the Syriac Union Party, the Notables Council in North and East Syria, political and community figures, representatives of parties in northeast Syria, representatives of the Autonomous Administration for Northeast Syria, and representatives of youth and women’s organizations, Kurdish and Arabic clans, and a group of intellectuals and academics.

The conference activities were initiated with the opening word of the co-chairs of the Democratic Union Party, delivered by Shahoz Hassan and Aisha Hasso, as they confirmed their commitment to the approach of resistance and the continuation of the struggle, as well as protection of the gains of the peoples of the region, and stressed the necessity of the unity of the Kurdish row, and the need to strengthen the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.

After that, the conference continued to deliver speeches by the guests, including the speech of the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, who praised the leading role of the Democratic Union Party in proposing democratic solutions to solve the Syrian crisis and the Kurdish issue.

In their entirety, the words congratulated the convening of the eighth conference of the Democratic Union Party, and the words indicated that the party possesses a popular base and elements for achieving victory, and playing a crucial role in the current stage, and that the party contributed effectively to the establishment and strengthening of the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria, as was pioneer to launch projects to solve the Syrian crisis.

Afternoon, the conference continued its activities closed to the media, and the conference's agenda continued by reading the annual reports and the internal system, and its activities are scheduled to continue tomorrow, Tuesday, and a joint presidency of the party is scheduled.
