Intellectuals Union in Al-Jazeera organizes lecture on kurdish culture and language

On the occasion of the opening of the " Reading Garden Hall"  in Qamishlo, the Intellectuals Union  in the Al Jazeera region organized a lecture on the Kurdish culture and language and its role in the Rojava revolution. The lecture was held at the " Reading Garden " in the western district of Qamishlo, northeastern Syria.

The lecture was attended by a delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration, the Co-Chairman of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hasso, the institutions of the civil society, as well as a group of intellectuals, Kurdish writers, and some independent figures.

The lecture began with a silence moment, then the Kurdish writer and poet Kone Rash delivered a lecture. He talked about the importance of Kurdish culture, and the extent of the cultural denial to the Kurdish people in  Kurdistan four parts  by the colonial states, and praised the resistance. The Kurdish people have shown it to preserve their culture and identity, and hold on to the language, customs and beliefs of all the attempts at extermination and smelting.

"Kurdish culture is from the ancient times, and to this day it is erased, but despite all the circumstances that the Kurdish people preserved its culture and language,"Kone Rash said .

"The Kurdish language played a big role in the Rojava revolution, and made great strides thanks to the finest young men and women of Rojava, and the Kurdish people are learning their mother tongue today thanks to these sacrifices," Kone Rash said, who called on all the people in Rojava to learn the Kurdish language.

The lecture ended with discussions on the importance of language for communities and how to revive and disseminate them.
