​​​​​​​ Syriac "Suroyo" Radio opened in Al Jazeera canton

The opening was attended by several local medias, the Local Council of Orthodox Syriac,  priests of Orthodox Syriac, heads of the Syriac people institutions, members of the  institutions of the Autonomous Administration, and the internal security forces of Sutoro.

The radio will broadcast daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Then online broadcast starts at 95.5 frequency.

The opening started with a speeche by the joint president of Suroyo Radio, Maria Hanna and Samer Hanna in Arabic and Syrian. They congratulated the opening of the radio on all the peoples of the north and east of Syria and the Syrian people all over the world. Speeches noted that this radio will be a step to bring the components closer to each other in the  northeastern Syria in the homeland and the diaspora.

they confirmed in the end, that the programs will be broadcasted in Syriac, Assyrian and Chaldean languages. Various programs will be broadcasted in Arabic on this radio.

Congratulatory messages  sent by Syriac local institutions, Syriac institutions in Lebanon and Iraq. The institution of the Autonomous Administration have also been submitted.

After reading the congratulations messages, music piece followed by the radio members, the opening tape was cut by Maryam Talia, sister of the martyr Basil Talia, who was martyred in the villages of Khabur in Tel Tamer district in 2015, while fighting ISIS mercenaries.
