Turkey continues to build separation wall in Afrin, seizes Syrian territory

The Turkish occupation launched attacks on Afrin on the 20th of January 2018, killing and wounding hundreds of civilians, and occupied Afrin in March 18 of the same year. After the occupation of Afrin, Turkey committed the most heinous violations against its people from killing, kidnapping, and other violations, and now, by continuing to build a wall in Afrin to divide the Syrian lands, as the Turkish occupation seeks to build a wall of 70 kilometers around Afrin.

According to the information obtained by our agency's correspondent, ANHA, the Turkish state is taking over more Syrian lands, by removing the border wall into the Syrian territories with a depth of approximately 300 meters, and it has put concrete blocks near the villages of "Bika - Ali Karu - Za'ara" In Balbul District, Afrin canton, where she dug trenches along these villages, in preparation for building a concrete wall that separates Kar mount in Balbul District from its base.

Excavations and according to information reported by private sources, the trenches will be dug from Kar  mount to the Sheikh Hamza shrine near the village of Ali Karu to be included in the Turkish lands, where the Turkish state has removed its borders at the village of "Bika" corresponding to the Turkish village "Jarjia" which length is 300 m.

Turkey’s construction of the separation wall causes uprooting thousands of olive trees and seizing areas of agricultural land belonging to the people of Afrin.
