Erdogan attacks Russia: There is no such thing as Astana track

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: Turkey has informed Russia that its patience is wearing thin regarding the continued bombing in Idlib, northern Syria, noting that Russia has not yet adhered to the "Sochi" and "Astana" agreements.

Erdogan added in press statements today: "If Russia adheres to the Sochi and Astana agreements, Turkey will continue to abide by them ... Russia has not yet adhered to the two agreements."

Erdogan added, "There is no such thing as the Astana track, we Turkey, Russia and Iran should revive it again and consider what we can do."

These statements come after the regime forces, with Russian support, seized the strategic city of Maarat al-Numan after Turkey's mercenaries withdrew from it.

The military operations were preceded by a meeting of the presidents of Russia and Turkey, as they reached a long-term truce in Idlib.

Sources have spoken that the attack on Ma`rat al-Numan was preceded by a meeting between Turkey and the mercenaries, who told them that they could not persuade Russia to stop the attacks, and that they should depend on themselves.
