Hevin Ismail Al Bayan, the co-chair of the occupied Girê Spi District Council, read in the presence of members and management of the council, in which she pointed to the negative role of Turkey in the Syrian conflict since 2011 by opening the way for terrorist groups and organizations such as Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS to enter Syrian territory, and providing support to them, causing millions of people to be displaced due to war and destruction in Syria.

In the statement, Hevin Ismail noted that Turkey organized Syrian refugees living in groups and used them as mercenaries to implement its plans to occupy Syrian lands, as it did in Afrin, Girê Spi/ Tal Abyad and Serekaniye / Ras al-Ain, and displaced hundreds of thousands of people from these areas and most of them lived in camps.

In the statement, she addressed German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who promised to support Erdogan's plan to resettle refugees in the areas of Tel Abyad and Ras Al-Ain, and said that she was "committing a major crime against the Syrians, which must have a positive attitude within the framework of stopping Erdogan's project in the demographic change he is pursuing." The co-chair of Girê Spi / Tel Abyad District Council condemned "all the meetings and agreements concluded at the expense of the Syrian people," and demanded the German chancellor to back away from "her position in support of the criminal Erdogan, who dragged the Syrian people into massacres, woes and displacement."

It also demanded the United Nations, human rights organizations, and the Russian guarantor, to stand against the Turkish state's project in the demographic change in the region of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain and pressure it not to interfere in the Syrian territories and stop the material support and weapons used to kill the Syrian people, and that they have a role in the political solution who guarantees the return of all the displaced to their cities.

At the end of the statement, Hiven Ismail confirmed that all components of the region, including Armenians, Turkmen, Kurds and Arabs, stand together in the face of Turkish plans.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited Turkey in December 24 and met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who discussed with her the file of Syrian refugees and the refugee agreement signed between Turkey and the European Union in addition to developments in the situation in Libya.
