Every meeting, a deal. Idlib… and Tripoli common field for Russia and Turkey

Each one of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan  are meeting today to talk about the latest developments, amid the emergence of Idlib problems and  dispatch of The Turkish forces to Libya.

With each meeting, " deals trilateral" title of Russia, Turkey, and Iran,    that the Syrians named them ,comes to the mind but after the international pressure on the latter, they were forced to miss these moves

Previous meetings produced deals written with the Syrians blood 

During the meetings that had previously taken place, between these countries, deals have been concluded since the fourth round of the Astana meetings.

Through the so-called   tension de-escalation, Russia has enabled the regime's forces to control the areas of Damascus countryside, Aleppo and Homs, and Turkey has moved thousands of its mercenaries and their families from these areas to other occupied areas such as  Jarabulus, Al-Bab and Afrin, and later Gire Spi and Seri Kania, and began to carry out demographic change.

 Since the beginning of these understandings between these countries, they have claimed that the aim of their existence is to stop the fire and to end the bloodshed, but the truth is that they have brought woes to the Syrian people.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights,  the shelling casualties were 993 civilians by the Turkish forces and their aircraft: 675 men and young men, 193 children and 125 citizens, while the number of casualties at the hands of the Turkish border guards was 445 civilian martyrs: 324 men and young men and 79 child and 42 citizens.

According to the Observatory report, Turkish attacks inside Syria have displaced  tens of thousands of civilians amid the tragic humanitarian situation that has worsened in the country.

The Observatory said that the Turkish army's violations against Syrian civilians continue and have not stopped, despite the propaganda of Turkish media and the official statements by the Turkish officials.

Russia and Turkey are racing against the clock on Idlib and Tripoli

Concerning the Russian-Turkish competition and racing about Idlib and Tripoli, the Syrian writer and academic Mohib Saliha spoke to Hawar News Agency.

 "The negotiating table between Russia and Turkey is no longer only concerned with the Syrian issue, specifically the situation in Idlib and in the Syrian north in general, but is concerned, in harmony and linkage, with the situation in Libya and around its capital Tripoli. 

 The Russian-backed Forces of General Haftar and the Saudi-Egypt axis on its outskirts that aimed at liberating the capital from the Turkish-backed Brotherhood-backed Government of Accord and Qatar.

"From this outset, the repercussions of the situation in the north of Syria, particularly in Idlib, which is being cooked on the hot air, are Russian-Turkish political understandings that have become cold in connection with what is happening on the outskirts of Tripoli as an attempt to cool the two fronts, linking the conflict between the two countries," Salha said.

"Russia is pressuring Turkey in Idlib to achieve political gains in Tripoli, and Turkey threatens military involves in Libya to make gains in Idlib, and the next meeting between the two countries will, in my opinion, discuss the implications of the situation in Idlib and Tripoli, and its impact on the  Russian relations," Salha said.

"and searching for political exits do not contradict with the interests of the two countries."

As for the escalation in Idlib he said "The return of the Syrian government and its allies to Idlib depends on what will be agreed on between Russia and Turkey, although the air strikes have not stopped, and its continuation poses a threat to the Turkish-Russian negotiations," he said. "The burden The  combat operations in Idlib is borne by civilians who are almost losing confidence in Turkey as a force capable of providing them with a fairly acceptable quality of life, and if the aerial bombardment continues, the situation is likely to cause large numbers of refugees to flee to the border." Moreover, the refugees issue has become more sensitive for the internal agenda and the weakness of Erdogan's government.

The Syrian writer and academic continued" Russia will not hesitate to use it either in political negotiations or military operations, this strategy will force thousands of refugees to flee to the Turkish border, the continuation of military operations in Idlib will force thousands of displaced people out of Their homes towards Turkey, forcing them to evacuate areas in Idlib and move their observation posts deep into the area of reduction."

"This will allow the Government of Damascus to control the crisis areas to restart traffic on the international roads of Aleppo, Damascus, Aleppo and Al-Lathi, and reduce the area of the de-escalation zone in Idlib, which is controlled by the Turkish-backed Islamist opposition," Saliha said.

 "Of course, Russia and Turkey are racing against the clock in Idlib or Tripoli to achieve some political gains ahead of Wednesday's meeting on Syria, and before the Security Council meeting on Libya called for by Moscow," the Syrian writer and academic Mohib Saliha concluded.
