He left Afrin a week ago... Kurds suffer from discrimination; persecution

Along with mercenary groups, Turkey occupied Afrin canton two years ago when it launched an attack on the canton in January 20, 2018, which led to its occupation in March 18 of the same year.

After its occupation, Turkey and its mercenaries deliberately expelled the Kurds from the canton and resettled the families of mercenaries in various parts of the canton and focused on the settlement of Turkmen loyal to the Turkish state in the border areas with Turkey in a systematic and public demographic change.

Turkey and its mercenaries are still practicing the same approach, through a number of practices that force a small number of the remaining Kurds in the occupied canton to leave their lands.

The Kurds are subjected to forced displacement

One of the young men who left the district to escape the practices of mercenaries, preferring anonymity for security reasons that are threatening the lives of a number of his family members remaining in the city of Afrin.

He also pointed out that Kurdish civilians suffer from discrimination and persecution even though they are the original inhabitants of the region, where they are prohibited from working or opening shops, even worse they are denied going to their agricultural lands as a kind of forced displacement, knowing that agriculture is the lifeblood of Afrin residents.

Turkey's mercenaries in Afrin use the same ISIS terms to define their mercenaries.

The young man added that the mercenaries justified the theft of property by saying, "Mujahideen need it."

A civilian killed in cold blood

Concerning the kidnappings, (F, Sh) said, "There are dozens of factions between one village and another that we cannot move with our freedom because the issue of kidnapping for ransom demand has become common to mercenaries, and if payment is not made, the kidnapped is killed with cold blood."

(F, Sh) mentioned the story of the kidnapping of a citizen from the village of Baadina, in the district of Mobato, saying, "The kidnappers asked the family for a ransom of $ 20,000 in exchange for his release and the kidnapped man is still in the hands of the mercenaries because the family has been unable to pay for more than 7 months."
