SDC held political dialogue forum in al-Shahba

The symposium held at the hall of the Culture and Art Center in Fafin district was attended by dozens of members of the institutions, in addition to the elders and clans’ notables of Afrin region in al-Shahba canton.

The seminar started with a minute of silence, followed by the opening of discussion by the Deputy Presidency of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council, Nujeen Youssef.

Initially, Nujeen Youssef congratulated the Syrian people with all components on Christmas. Then, she talked about the conspiracies that had affected the peoples of northern and eastern Syria, and the resistance shown by the people of those areas to thwart the plans of the enemy that aimed to end the project of the democratic nation.

Nujeen Youssef touched on the resistance of Afrin people in the face of the Turkish aggression, and described it as a historic resistance because it had affirmed the extent of the people’s attachment to their land and their rejection of the occupation.

Youssef added that the colonial powers rejected the project of the democratic nation, which had embraced all components in Syria, and had achieved security, peace and brotherhood among the components because the democratic project did not serve the policies of the authoritarian and fascist states.

Youssef also confirmed that the conspiracy continued on the components of northern and eastern Syria, and the visit made by Ali Mamlouk to Qamishlo had aimed at igniting discord among the components in the region, but that was an unsuccessful attempt because the Arab tribes cling to their forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and to their Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria.

Nujeen Yusuf warned against the conspiracies, whether inside or from abroad, and pointed to the necessity of solidarity and unification of all the Syrian people to join hands to defeat the occupation of the Syrian lands.

Youssef noted that the crisis in the Middle East had come from the deepening and expansion of the crisis in Syria, and its solution would bring peace to all countries from Lebanon, Iraq and even Libya.

Then, the discussion was opened for to the attendees to participate in the question, and to explain the latest developments taking place in the Syrian square.
