On the occasion of Êzî Eid, dozens of Yazidi families and members of the Martyrs' Families Council went to the martyrs’ shrine in the Ahras district.

After three-day fasting, the Yezidis celebrate in the first week of December according to the eastern calendar Êzî Eid, meaning the feast of the Creator, or what is known as “the feast of great fasting,” and the difference between the Gregorian and eastern calendar is 13 days.

At the martyrs cemetery, the Yazidis laid wreaths on the shrines of the martyrs, and a minute of silence ensued, and a speech was given by the Yazidi administrator Mustafa Nabu, he congratulated Êzî Eid on all Yazidis and the people of the region.

Then the administrator of the Yazidi Union in Afrin canton, Suleiman Jafar, delivered speeches as well as the member of the Martyrs Families’ Council Hussein Murad.

Their words were centered on the blessing Eid on the people, hoping to achieve security and stability for the common people, and we hope to return to Afrin and congratulate their feast there, after liberating it from the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
