An official in Sharkrak silos: massive damage, looting and theft to the silos

Officials in the companies' silos confirmed that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries destroyed parts of the silos, in addition to burning 50 tons of barley and stealing technical equipment, while painting some of the silos rooms with questionable strange paint.

After the attack by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the north and east of Syria in October 9 of this year, the silos of Shrakrak, located 12 km east of Ain Issa district, were occupied.

On December 9th, according to an understanding between the Russian and Turkish forces, a workshop of technicians and administrators in the silos was allowed to inspect the silos for a period of three hours. After the expiration of the three hours, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries returned to occupying the silos and removing the workers and technicians from them.

The official in charge of the silos of Sharkrak, Sheikh Muhammad Abdo, spoke about the damage caused to the silos by the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

According to Abdo, the silos management department was destroyed and booby-trapped, as were the machines devoted to unloading the grain from the silos with missiles and sabotaging them, in addition to cutting, sabotaging and robbing all electrical cables.

Sheikh Muhammad Abdo also confirmed that a ground warehouse containing about 50 tons of barley material had been completely burned, in addition to the destruction, vandalism, and theft of many facilities and equipment.

'Doubtful paint”

Muhammad Abdo pointed to the Turkish occupation forces and his mercenaries who painted one of the silos' facilities with a new doubtful paint, possibly toxic materials.

Sheikh Muhammad Abdo in charge of silos confirmed that the silos' conditions are very poor, and because of the damage to the equipment, grain cannot be removed from them.
