Displaced people live in 64 schools in and around the city, ANHA monitored IDP's conditions in a shelter school, interviewed with many of them who spoke about the reason for their displacement, and the violations by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against civilians in Serêkaniye.

Fatima Muhammed, from the displaced Serêkaniyê, says, “At first we took the young children out of the city because they were very afraid of the sounds of guns and warplanes, and later we, too, went out, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries were constantly bombarding the city with all the heavy weapons from warplanes and cannons.”

"The Turkish occupation mercenaries burned my house completely. We live here in shelter schools well and we have all the needs, but all our thinking is focused on our city. Our only demand is to return to our city and live like before."

Zaidi Hussein Abdallah of the displaced Serêkaniyê, explains, "Our situation in the city was very bad and for that we went out of the city, Erdogan and its mercenaries bombed the safe city of with all kinds of the weapons."

"Our forces heroes defended the city with full strength, determination and will, but the Turkish occupation and with its mercenaries were using sophisticated weapons of guns and aircraft."

Abdullah said, "Our only concern is that the SDF is strong, and we do not accept any force governing us other than the SDF because there is no better than our forces and we do not accept the alternative."

For his part, Citizen Wasmi Shoaib noted that if the world state wants to stop the war, it can do so, but because of the agreements signed between them, they do nothing. "Their agreements are to exterminate the peoples of the region and this is a continuation of the Armenian genocide that took place in Turkey by the Ottomans.
