Refugees affairs' office: organizations neglect its duty toward refugees in N,E camps

The co-chair of the Office for the Displaced Affairs said that the humanitarian and relief organizations supporting the Autonomous Administration 's camps are slow to respond to the winter, pointing out that there are two batches of displaced people will be evacuated from the camps within the program of return within the next few days.

More than 117,000 refugees live in the camps of N,E of Syria

More than 117,000 displaced Iraqis and refugees in the north and east of Syria live in 14 camps in al-Hol, Mabrouka, Roj, Arish, Nasri, Manbij al-Sharqi, Manbij al-Jadeedi, Mahmudli, Ain Issa, al-Awda, al-Shahba, al-Asr, Resistance, Afrin.

The Autonomous Administration supervises these camps and provides them with the basic services necessary to live in them in addition to providing security for them.

Some humanitarian organizations operating in the north and east of Syria provide services to the camps, including food and medical assistance, tents, etc. However, according to the supervisors of these camps do not reach the required level, they estimate 30-40 percent of the total need.

'Organizations slow response'

In this regard, the co-chair of the Office for the Displaced Affairs Shiekmus Ahmed stressed that the response of humanitarian and relief organizations to winter season is slow, noting that the large numbers inside these camps exceed the ability of AA to face this severe season.

The AA launched the "Return Program", which organizes trips for the return of displaced people to their cities and villages after liberating them from ISIS mercenaries and equipping them with the necessary services by civil and autonomous councils.
