PYD 1st conference in eastern district in Qamişlo ended

Under the slogan "With Will and Organization, We Will Liberate and Build Decentralized and Democratic Syria", PYD held its first conference for the eastern district of Qamişlo city in Seran hall in the city.

Banners with "With resistance, we will liberate our gains and protect our revolution" written on and the pictures of the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan in addition to PYD's flags were hung in the hall.

400 members of the eastern district, many guests of the political parties, a delegation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) including the co-chair of the DAA in al-Jazeera region Abdel Kareem Sarokhan, his deputy Hussein Azzam, the co-chair of the Muslims Intellectuals Union in al-Jazeera region Mulla Mohammed Gerzan in addition to the co-chair of PYD Aisha Hesso attended the conference. 

The conference started with holding a minute of silence. Then, a speech was delivered by the co-chair of PYD Aisha Hesso as she welcomed the attendees and the representatives of the DAA and the political parties and said, "With the attendance of the representatives of the area's components, it is clear that the peoples adhere to the democratic nation's system that unified the peoples."

Aisha Hesso noted in her speech that the Turkish occupier does not accept the peoples' unity so when we consider the Syrian crisis, especially the counties that consider themselves the guarantor of the Syrian file, we see their direct interference in the internal affairs and their work not to solve the crisis to be the beneficiaries from the conflict.

Aisha also made clear that it is not possible to reach a political solution in Syria if the conflict forces in Syria would not agree to serve all the components, and the civil administration in north and east Syria would not be one of the main sides in the political settlement as no national party could be eliminated.

In the conclusion of her speech, Aisha said, "Our party that was established by virtue of the martyrs' sacrifices is targeted today by the enemies of democracy and the peoples' unity. The party that represents the people's will in Syria is PYD, and today, we hold this conference within these conspiracies that are carried out against us, and it is a great achievement for us."

After the co-chair of PYD Aisha Hesso ended her speech, several speeches were delivered by the co-chair of the Martyrs' Families Council Ma'soum Hassen, on behalf of Kongra Star by the administrator Hadiyya Abdo and whoever congratulated holding the conference and hoped success for them.

After that, the congratulatory telegrams sent by the political parties and the civil institutions were read. Then, a divan for the conference that is consisted of five members was elected.

Then, the organizational and political reports of the party were read, and that was accompanied by reading the annual report of the party's works, and the way was opened for the party's members to discuss them.

After hours passed on the continuation of the conference, 12 members were elected as an administrative council for PYD's organization in the eastern district in Qamişlo to conclude the conference's works by swearing the oath to continue the struggle and work according to PYD's principles by the electors.
