Arab clans in Manbij: we leave in peace, refuse new Othman

The response of the Arab tribal elders to the Turkish President Erdogan who stated to the media outlets on Monday that "the Arab tribes in the city of Manbij asking Turkey to save them," in a decisive tone, asserting the falsity of his claims.

Sheikh Hamid al-Ja'dan, one of al-Bubna clan's elders said, "Erdogan's remarks do not mean anything to us and his statements are meaningless."

He added, "The Turkish state seeks to strike the security and stability enjoyed by the city of Manbij. Everyone here lives in safety and stability inside Manbij that was liberated by virtue of the blood of its martyrs."

He noted, "We affirm our refusal to abandon any part of the Syrian territories, and we will not be satisfied with returning the Turkish state of the glory of the Ottoman rule in the Syrian territory."

He concluded, "The biggest experience of the Turkish state which claims to liberate the territories from terrorism is the areas of al-Bab, Azaz, Jarablus and Afrin. Where security and stability are in these areas?"

In a related context, one of elders of al-Ghenaem clan Khalid Sheikh Shibli said that the Turkish state is an occupying state. We will not allow it to occupy new areas inside Syria as it did in the areas of al-Bab and Azaz, Jarablus and Afrin which are currently experiencing security chaos and continued looting and killing operations by the mercenaries backed by Turkey.

At the end of his speech, he called for all the clans to stand together in the face of any aggression threatens the security and stability of their city.
