'Occupation seeks to revive fascist covenant, peoples of the area proved their ability to defend themselves'

In the context of the threats targeting the Democratic Autonomous Administration's project in north and east of Syria, the Democratic Society Movement in al-Jazeera region organized a dialogue meeting to explain and discuss the latest political developments in the Syrian arena, in the presence of dignitaries and sheikhs of Kurdish and Arab tribes in al-Jazeera region and political and religious figures.

Under the slogan "Together towards a Free Society and a Cohesive Democratic Syria," the Public Relations Office of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in al-Jazeera region held a dialogue meeting to discuss the latest developments and political developments on the Syrian arena.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, and then several speeches were made by the official of the Diplomatic Relations Office in the Democratic Society Movement, Aldar Khalil, the official of the Democratic Relations Office in the Democratic Union Party Saleh Muslim.

Aldar Khalil said, "We call upon the international forces in Syria to play a positive role for stability and security and to make the dialogue, negotiation and writing the Syrian constitution successful, but their participation must be supportive to the Syrians themselves to decide their fate."

He added, "We want to be united against the Turkish threats. We know that the Erdoganian project is an occupying project and he wants to occupy other parts of Syria. He wants to revive the fascist covenant and continue to occupy the remaining Syrian territories. Facing the occupation is a Syrian national duty before being just absolute duty of the Kurds".

Khalil pointed out that when Turkey found the difficulty in the direct attack, it began to raise the issue of the buffer zone. He said, "We reject this name totally because we did not pose a threat to Turkey any day, but Turkey is a danger to us, it has occupied several areas and recently Afrin, and is now threatening to re-occupy other areas."

Khalil said that the peoples of the region must build a democratic Syria and reject all agreements and treaties that allow Turkey to infringe the Syrian sovereignty. He added, "We will never accept the agreements of Adana and others."

For his part, the official of the Diplomatic Relations Office in the Democratic Union Party, Saleh Muslim, noted that the people of North Syria proved that they are able to defend themselves and protect their dignity and honor despite all the attacks that took place in Syria.

Muslim concluded, "Our goal is to fight ISIS, to defend our homeland and to deal with the forces that work for the benefit of the society in Syria. All the people of our land must know that we will not abandon this soil which was watered with the blood of our martyrs in any way. We will not allow anyone to control the land of our people no matter what the reasons."
