From Leyla Qassim to Leyla Guven…. Legendry resistance

The Kurdish women continue their struggle against occupation and tyranny by means of their activities, their hunger strike, the burning of their bodies, the resistance against the occupation, she writes her name and struggle on the pages of the history from Leyla Qassam, Leyla Kaplan "Rewşen", Leyla Şaylemez "Ronahî" arriving to Leyla Guven, this name is considered the symbol of resistance, showing women's association with their resistance.

The name Leyla Guven was written in red on the pages of history

The name of Leyla in the midst of the women's struggle was written in red color among them is Leyla Wali Hussein,"Viyan Soran, who set fire to herself in 2006, denouncing the international plot on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan saying "I do not want to see again Imarli practices like isolation and torturing" then she set fire to herself."

She searched for freedom and went to the mountains

Leyla Wali Hussein was born in Sulaymaniyah in Başûr in 1981, south of Kurdistan. She is from the tribe of Jaf, which is one of the great tribes of Başûr Kurdistan. She knew the Kurdish Liberation Movement in the early years of her youth, and went to the mountains of Kurdistan and joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in 1997 with her sister, during her struggle for free life, her family tried several times to bring her to the home, "This is not our business. This is the decision of your daughter's free will. You can ask her, and if you wish, you can bring her with you," PKK officials told the family.

After a period of time in the mountains, she began to organize the people in Başûr, "South Kurdistan." In 2004, she was a member of the PKK reconstruction committee, and then returned to the military struggle as a leader in the Women's Free Units-Star, the People Defense Forces.

She said "My leader, since the day I heard your name, I felt life, and I knew who I was and how I should live," she said in her message to Ocalan. In your school, I never hesitated or regretted, because I discovered a human power, will, and meaning, though scarce, I came to realize that the impossible does not exist, and I believe in this, I believed so, and as Kurdish women, and so it was my hope to meet you even for a moment, and to share with you what is going on within my mind and heart about freedom, women and the people."

Happy because I will achieve a goal'

"We are entering the eighth year of the arrest of the leader Ocalan when the international conspiracy has set a new stage fraught with danger for all of Kurdistan, they want to obliterate the achievements of the leader, they want to live in a life in which we are accustomed to the absence of the leader and the absence of thought, they appeal to abandon the commander in public. Therefore, the people of Kurdistan in its four parts, demonstrate against the policy of genocide and unjust policy against the leader. As a student, I want to highlight my dissatisfaction with the February 15 plot. I want to highlight my great solidarity with the popular resistance.  By setting fire to my body, I want to send a message to the rigid minds and hearts of the civilization of the class society.

The struggle exam left a great legacy for women

At the end of her letter, Viyan Soran says her operation is a continuation of the resistance of Leyla Qassim, Zilan and all the martyrs. "I am very happy that all the people and women of my people will read and hear my message: Death to treason, death to the international conspiracy!"

"If only one person remains, your philosophy of life will remain alive and always triumph," she said.

Leyla's resistance goes on

Viyan Soran, by setting fire to her body, called for the protection of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and the escalation of struggle and resistance.

Today, the resistance of Leyla Wali Hussein (Viyan Soran) continues through the the co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and the Parliamentarian of Democratic People's Party in the city of Golemerg, Leyla Guven says "I have never accepted this conspiracy and the ongoing torture against the leader, and I will never accept it, these words show the purpose thousands of the leaders who were martyred.

We will triumph whatever the cost is

Viyan Soran did not accept the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan on the anniversary of the 7th plot. So her body was set on fire. Today, Leyla Guven has not accepted isolation and she has been on hunger strike for 87 days. We will triumph at all costs, "he said." With our resistance and struggle, we will ensure victory. "I affirm that I am inhaling the reality of life for which I may die, and for my goal I can embrace the path of death."
