Kurdish community in Lebanon denounced aggression on Afrin, declared hunger strike

The meeting called for by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) was held in Baalbek city, and dozens of people from the Kurdish community in Lebanon attended it. The meeting hall was ornamented with the pictures of the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan and the flags and symbols of northeast Syria.

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence. Then, the administrative in the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in Lebanon Shervin Judy talked and commemorated all the martyrs and people who defended their land against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Shervin noted that the Resistance of the Age is considered historic for the Kurds and the peoples of the Syrian north against the Turkish occupation that attacked Afrin with various sophisticated weapons and more than 20,000 mercenaries.

Shervin Judy assured that the women in the Syrian north proved their existence during establishing the Women Protection Units (YPJ) that fought side by side with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the People Protection Units (YPG) to defend their gains in Rojava Revolution.

Shervin noted that they stand in solidarity with Leyla Guven's hunger strike till isolation on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan will be raised.

In the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees chanted the slogans that salute the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and the resistance of the detainees in the prisons, and glorify the martyrs.
