Al-Tabqa people go on hunger strike in solidarity with Leyla Guven

The hunger strike organized at the Martyrs Families' Council 's headquarters in al-Tabqa area is ongoing during the first two days, with the participation of about 50 members of the Martyrs Families' Institution and martyrs' families, it will continue for four consecutive days. Hundreds of residents of the city and the countryside will participate, as well as members of civilian and military institutions.

Before the strike began, the 50 strikers made a statement in front of Martyrs Families' Council 's headquarters

The text of the statement delivered by the Co-chair of of Martyrs Families' Council 's headquarters Abdul Karim Ibrahim:

"At the beginning we welcome all the guests from the martyrs' families and the guests from al-Tabqa area and all the participants in our strike this strike dignity and this strike say for every fighter who wants to say to those haters ,we are the families of the martyrs always in the forefront and this message to the friend before the enemy, We have to express what inside ourselves in all means because ,we have a humanitarian project with the idea of a democratic nation in the language of the peoples' fraternity and we go in our strike is a strike of solidarity with the comrades who fought before us."

All strikers wore jackets carrying the image of the fighter Leyal Guven and the activists Nasir Yagiz and Imam Shish.

The statement completed " Today, we are fighting in new battle it is the empty bellies, the battle of the will and determination, we belief with co-existence language, we just want to life in peace as any citizen in the world, not surrender, we want peace for us and all the people in the area, we want our solidarity to prove to the world that we have a will beyond all will."

Many delegations will visit the headquarters of the hunger strike from north-east of Syria in the next hours.
