Sheikh of Al-Berij clan: Erdogan threatens security of north Syria

The talk of the sheikh of al-Berij clan came in a statement to Hawar news agency during his visit to the Democratic Autonomous Administration building in Kobanî.

Mohammad Noor al-Zib in response to Erdogan's threats and his claims of protecting the region and its people noted, "We have not sought sympathy from Erdogan or anyone else. We, as a Syrian people, will solve our problems ourselves without any external interference."

 He said " during Erdogan rule, Turkey did not enjoy security, but we live in peace and security, and we have a democratic experience since five years but Erdogan threatens this experience and this safety."

Sheikh Mohammed refused any interference in their internal affairs, pointing out that they are now seeking to build a civic participatory life and build institutions and democratic parties in the north and east of Syria, they do not interfere in the affairs of others and want to good-neighborly relations to prevail between them and neighboring and regional countries.

Sheikh Mohammed Noor al-Zib sent a message to Turkish President Erdogan, in which he said, "Who told Erdogan that there is no security in the north and east of Syria or asked him to establish a buffer zone? we reject any intervention under any pretext, we are able to solve our problems and protect our rights and our areas through our own administration and our institutions."

The sheikh Mohammed asked the Syrian people to return to the pages of history to see what the Ottoman state did in the region to do what their ancestors did when they expelled the Ottomans and to expel Erdogan from the region.
