The Internal Security Forces (ISF) dismantled 3 mines planted by dormant cells of Turkey's mercenaries near Qerquzaq Bridge that links between the Euphrates region and Manbij area.

In order to destabilize the security and stability, and cut off the commercial and vital route between the Euphrates region and areas west of the Euphrates River, dormant cells of the mercenaries supported by the Turkish occupation planted a number of mines next to Qerquzaq Bridge on the Euphrates River on the international highway.

According to the information provided by the residents to the Internal Security Forces in Manbaj city and its military forces, two unknown persons placed mines beside the bridge. Therefore, the forces rushed to the determined place, searched for the mines' sites and found them. After that, the specialized teams for dismantling the mines interfered, dismantled and removed 3 mines were planted at the beginning of Qerquzaq Bridge on the western bank of the Euphrates River, and then the normal traffic returned after it stopped for about two hours.

Qerquzaq Bridge is considered one of the most important Syrian vital bridges on the Euphrates River that links its eastern side with the western. It was partially destroyed by IS mercenaries during their occupation of Manbij area in 2014. Furthermore, the bridge was restored after the area was liberated by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in 2016.
