The talk of sheikh of al-Hanada clan Ibrahim al-Issa came in an interview conducted by Hawar News Agency, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the liberation of Kobanî, which was liberated of IS on January 26, 2015.

Kobanî's victory four years ago stopped IS expansion which later collapsed, and made it lose control over its territories and defeated it militarily after 4 years of battle.

In this context, sheikh of the Hanada clan, one of the prominent clans in northern Syria, Ibrahim al- Issa said that Kobanî resistance entered history because the weapons that were in the hands of the fighters in Kobanî were individual weapons that could not resist tanks and heavy weapons of IS mercenaries.

Al-Issa added, " Kobanî's resistance is characterized by sacrifice and steadfastness, which stood in front of mercenary weapons, and in the face of the invaders and defeated them, there is a big difference between the invader and the defender advocating for land."

Ibrahim al-Issa explained that the fighter when he was fighting in Kobanî was sure that martyrdom is better than living under the rule of IS mercenaries and staying without land, freedom and dignity and that their resistance was unrivaled .

He added that thanks to Kobanî's uprising against the invaders, the regions liberated from the terror that threatened the whole world, and we do not forget the date in which we removed the blackness that was hovering on us.

Al-Issa pointed out that without the victory in Kobanî and the steadfastness of its people and the blood of its martyrs, Girê Spî area has never been liberated from terrorism.

Al-Issa concluded that after liberation, the components of the region returned to their cohesion and the social fabric that has been interconnected for thousands of years.
