Fighters: Afrin will be liberated by will of its people, we to support resistance

A year ago, on January 20, 2018, when Turkey began its aggression, Afrin canton witnessed a historic resistance known as "Resistance of the Age". The people of Afrin and the Syrian north, along with the Syrian Democratic Forces fighters, and the People and Women Protection Units who fought against modern types of weapons, warplanes and helicopters of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

In the resistance of Afrin, fighters from Aleppo and other cities from northern Syria participated in fighting the Turkish attacks. ANHA agency met with a number of fighters from the Protection Units in Aleppo who participated in the Resistance of the Age. The fighters confirmed that Afrin would be liberated from the Turkish occupation.

Sipan Heleb a fighter in the Martyr Dalil Battalion, participated in the first phase of the resistance with a number of his fellow fighters, who were divided into groups deployed throughout the cantons.

Sipan talks about his participation "I was at the front of Sarîya village. Later on I went to Belbela and we experienced a real resistance that will not be forgotten. Today, one year after these events, we assure our people and the martyrs that we will liberate Afrin and achieve their goals."

The fighter Jiazan Kobani was wounded during a clash with the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army in February in Dumiliya village in Rajo district, saying that "Afrin belongs to its people, we will strive to liberate it at whatever cost. We will not leave Afrin to the occupation and its mercenaries."

As for the fighter Azad Heleb, a member of Martyr Bakur Battalion which deployed in Janders for two days and then went to Baflor village during the resistance. He told our agency: "In the land attempts they were failing, they used to fly against us. We are ready to stand with the people of Afrin to liberate their lands from mercenaries, by unifying the ranks of the people before the Turkish occupation, which is trying to exterminate our people."

Resistance of the Age highlighted the true meaning of the resistance

In turn the fighter Ager Heleb who participated in the resistance said, "We have responded to the attacks of the Turkish occupation, the Resistance of the Age was different from all the previous battles in which we fought, this resistance highlighted the true meaning of the resistance."

Shiyar Afrin was one of the fighters who fought in the Resistance of the Age from Aleppo, saying that Turkey occupied Afrin with superiority of equipment and not by its strength in the field, adding, "With the will of the people and the determination of the fighters, we were able to lift the siege on Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, so Afrin will be liberated by the will of its people and the determination of its people."
