Kurdish community in Lebanon meets on 1st  anniversary of Turkish attacks on Afrin

The Democratic Society Movement held a meeting in Newroz Cultural and Social Association for the people of the Kurdish community in Lebanon on the first anniversary of the Turkish occupation of its attacks on Afrin .

The meeting, which was held in one of the halls in the Lebanese capital Beirut, was attended by dozens of members of the Kurdish community.

At the meeting, the administrator in the Democratic Society Movement, Shervin Judy spoke and praised the resistance of the Afrin people, who resisted against the most powerful armies for nearly two months.

She added, " the Turkish state launched the attack with all its modern weapons and with more than 10,000 mercenaries and soldiers, but the people and fighters of Protection Units resisted against them 58 days in the first phase of the Resistance of the Age." .

In the end, she said that Afrin "did not fall, but will return to the Kurdish people."

The meeting ended with slogans denouncing the Turkish occupation.
