Aleppo people: 58 days of Resistance of Age will stay in our minds

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries launched attack against Afrin canton since 20 January 2018, using all kinds of sophisticated warplanes which lasted for 2 months, and the fighters of People and Women Protection Units YPG-YPJ and Afrin people achieved great historical resisting lasting for 58 days from the first stage of the Resistance of the Age.”

Residents of the Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood of Aleppo supported the resistance of the Age as "human shields", a procession of about 400 people who went to Afrin canton for 4 days.

Hawar news agency(ANHA), monitored the views of the components of Aleppo and the martyrs’ families who participated their children of the Resistance of the Age in conjunction with the first anniversary

Zakariya Qahwa, father of martyr Zakaria Afrin “My son asked to go to Afrin city, and he went, as long as we all live for the homeland, we will sacrifice our most precious thing and that defending Afrin is a way to the national cause, for 58 days our fighters are still resisting bravely till the last breath.”

Zakariya pledged the martyrs saying “we are walking on the path of the martyrs as Afrin was watered with blood of the Syrian people, we will not leave Afrin under domination of Erdogan and his gangs.”

58 days of unforgettable resistance

Mari Shibli from the Arab component said “We went to support our people in Afrin before launching attack on Afrin, we had severely suffered from the Turkey-backed mercenaries’ attacks, and we withstood against this enemy and join hands together and we won in the neighborhood, and through the will and power our people, democratic nation’s concept is considered as civilized and developed, we withstood against barbaric attacks.”

"The goal is to support the resistance of Afrin and to support its aspirations because we are one people on this geography by its Kurds and Arabs and unite the people of the north and east of Syria in Afrin. This resistance should be respected because it adhered to all the principles and values, 58 days from resistance, it will stay in our minds and the history will tell the next generations about the great resistance and solidarity in front of these fierce attack, and our solidarity visit was the least duty we offer to be a dam against the occupation behind our troops because we are the daughters and sons of Syria and we will resist and return Afrin to its people by the will of its people.

Resistance of the Age has shown people’s determination when they went to the battles points

One year has passed since the Turkish occupation attacks on Afrin canton, the citizen Ahemd Abdo saluted Resistance of the Age and said "We supported the people to show all the world states especially Turkey, that no one can bring seditions between us and separate us from our fighters YPG-YPJ, so we joined together to convey the idea that no matter how strong the attacks, we will increase our resistance and cohesion before them."

Finally, the mother of Martyr Murad, who was martyred on 12 February 2018 in Afrin Amina Diab "My son refused to stay in the neighborhood and began to join his fellow fighters and protect Afrin from the attacks because Afrin is also our land, even though my son Murad was groom just for 5 days, and he preferred to be groom to his homeland and was martyred in his goal, I will not leave the blood of my son in vain, we will revenge for him and free Afrin and its residents.”
